Mechanical, CD Set Creation

Recently our team got the chance to work on a project which was done on SMACNA standards. With the minimum inputs from the client, which included the PDF of the design document set, MEP trade, and the architecture and structural drawings. This design of this HVAC project consists of the creation of the construction document set for the mechanical ducting, piping and coordination with the other building discipline. Our team created the 3D detailed model of HVAC ducting and piping with the help of Revit and Naviswork. The final output provided to the client was in PDF format with the detailed dimension for the duct and pipes from the column and grids, with duct and pipe bottom elevations and duct tags. The team enjoyed creating the construction documents as they got to know about the SMACNA codes regarding the duct standards and pipe insulation criteria.
